British Riding Club’s – Team Endurance Event There has been some interest in the past few years in a British Riding Club Team Endurance Event this year there are to be regional qualifiers, two in our area – Wharncliffe Chase, Sheffield 12th June & Sutton Bank 15th August (teams may be mixed Juniors & Seniors)The Championships are 4/5 September at Southwell Racecourse. A local endurance group has a pleasure ride at Kilburn on 30th May which would be good to use as a training exercise, please contact Lesley on 07745187557 for more details & entry. Our Junior team: Heather Bellis, Christie Farren, Amy Gascoigne & Lucy Winn are now the Junior Novice Indoor Show Jumping Champions.click for photo Well done to all and a big thankyou to Michael for all his hard work in organising the trip to Gloucester, also many thanks to those family and friends who made the long journey to help and support the teams, our other Junior Team: Harriet Bagley, Jake Clark, Holly Brown & Hollie Brown unfortunately were not placed, but to make it to the finals is a brilliant achievement in itself. The Senior team: Micahel Raper, Christine Swiers, Carly Stephenson & Katherine Williams came 7th. FIELD HOUSE EQUESTRIAN (near Leeming Bar) are kindly offering all our members 5% discount on all normal priced goods. They carry a full range of Tack, Rugs, Clothing and Feed. TUITION - Age groups from Sept 2009 those born 1999-2001 = 8-10yrs, 1996-1998 = 11-13yrs, 1993-1995 = 14-16yrs all others should attend Senior Tuition. JOBS - Could all members be reminded that a condition of membership is that all senior members help at a minimum of 2 events. We have a very healthy membership but still struggle to get helpers.
